Leader in tooling for the pharmaceutical industry since 1963
Our company was founded in 1963 near the city of Blois, thanks to the association of mechanical workers. EPMO (A professional association of toolmakers) has first manufactured parts for the aeronautics and automotive sectors.
From Aeronautics to Pharmaceutical Excellence
At the beginning of these years, EPMO began to produce its first compression tools on demand from French pharmaceutical companies that were experiencing some supply difficulties.
10 years after the manufacture of its first compression tools, the activity has been extended to packaging tools. In the mid-1990s, the four founders of EPMO sold the company to a pharmaceutical group. During this period, EPMO gradually withdrew from the automotive and aeronautical activities to focus specifically on the pharmaceutical industry, a sector which was growing rapidly in France and Europe.
The Elizabeth Group has acquired EPMO
The American group ELIZABETH acquires EPMO which then becomes Elizabeth Europe. Strong in this alliance with a leader in the field of powder compression tools, Elizabeth Europe has continued to develop its expertise in this field and has significantly strengthened its product and service offering in the packaging equipment sector. It was also during this period that the activity of spare parts for tablet presses took full place.
In the same years, the company also grew thanks to numerous technical innovations. This, in particular by anti-sticking solutions for powders and distribution and packaging devices that the company has developed its field of actions throughout Europe and North Africa. Some of these innovations are patented.
During these years, the Elizabeth group has further developed through joint-venture signatures with Indian and Chinese companies.
A new chapter for EPMO, since 2023
In January 2023, the company announced the arrival of Mr Parodat as CEO and co-shareholder of the European site. This was the subject of a change in corporate name and the resumption of the name EPMO.
